Dress Code

Garden Semi-Formal

An outdoor backyard ceremony on a mild South Texas winter evening.

December evenings in Brownsville are usually in the 60s, cooling into the upper 50s after sunset, so bring a blazer, scarf or light sweater just in case. The ceremony is on the lawn: choose shoes that are comfortable on grass, like block heels, wedges or flats.

If you'd like to coordinate, these are the colors of our winter garden:

  • Forest
  • Sage
  • Oxblood
  • Dusty Rose
  • Peach
  • Caramel
  • Sand
  • Gold

Questions & Answers

What should I wear?

The dress code is garden semi-formal. We'll be outdoors in the backyard on a mild winter evening, so wear shoes that work on grass and bring a blazer, scarf or light sweater just in case. If you'd like to coordinate, see our palette under Dress Code.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive no earlier than 5:00 pm. The ceremony begins at 5:45 pm.

Is the celebration indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony is outdoors in our backyard, and food will be served indoors. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move everything inside.

Can I bring a guest?

Invitations are extended per family, and we'll let you know who we're able to welcome. This is a very small, intimate celebration with limited space, so please don't bring additional guests such as friends or dates. If you have questions, let us know before the RSVP deadline of Monday, December 14th.

Where should I park?

Since we're at a private residence, you may need to park farther along Sunset Drive if the spots near the house are taken. Please be mindful not to block our neighbors' driveways, trash cans or mailboxes. Because this is a small local gathering of family and close friends, we strongly encourage carpooling or drop-offs.

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Yes! We only ask that you skip the flash during the ceremony itself and silence your phone until the reception. After the ceremony, gather and take all the photos you like, and please share them with us.

How do I RSVP?

Use the RSVP form below by Monday, December 14th. It goes straight to both of us.
